No, the pad is placed under only one caster.
No, the pad is only 5 mm flat, so the bed does not wobble.
AnnaCare is very similar to a nurse call mat in operation — staff barely need to adjust. One advantage is that the system does not affect the care environment. Daily clearing away and repositioning — typical with a call mat — becomes unnecessary. The sensor pad cannot be bypassed by residents, and settings can be adapted to individual residents. For example, you can configure alarms to sound only between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., or only after a certain time if a resident has not returned to bed after a nighttime toilet trip.
AnnaCare works locally and anonymously — no sensor data is transferred to external servers, and no Wi-Fi infrastructure is required. Simply plug our sensor pad into your nurse call system and it works immediately. No additional software or apps need to be installed. From the very beginning we focused on making our system integrate perfectly into your everyday care routine.
Our team is currently working on making AnnaCare smarter so it can detect falls in the room in the near future. Feasibility studies have been completed and initial positive results are guiding our path. We expect to complete this by the end of the year.
We are currently evaluating data collected through product tests in care homes and expect a feasibility study at selected partner facilities by year end. The high level of detection accuracy and continuous analysis of vibrations in the bed and room means that the alarm is triggered quickly and reliably. Unlike other systems, AnnaCare does not miss the moment of getting out of bed due to the way it works.
